Gov. Togiola issues Christmas Message to the people of American Samoa
(UTULEI) – Governor Togiola Tulafono today, Christmas Eve, issued the following Christmas message to the people of American Samoa:
Governor’s Christmas Message 2009
Every year we proudly embrace Christmas as the time to celebrate the Birth of Jesus as well as the time to reflect on the countless blessings that have become a part of our island way of life.
It is also the time to express our thanks for the past year as we prepare for the new year. We have much to be thankful for in American Samoa. And we will never forget Christmas 2009.
As we continue our transition from recovery to rebuilding our island home, we say thank you for the wonderful island spirit that moves us together to help one another.
May the love and hope through the Birth of the Prince of Peace provide comfort for all of our families whose loved ones are not at home for Christmas this year.
We offer our best wishes and thanks to Toa o Samoa who bravely defend us on the front lines of freedom.
Mary, Lieutenant Governor Faoa and Mrs. Elisapeta Sunia, and all of our children and families, join me in wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010. May you all have a safe holiday season.
Ia manuia le Kerisimasi ma le Tausaga Fou,
