Gov. Togiola hospitalized with discomfort of stomach pain
(UTULEI) – Governor Togiola Tulafono was admitted to LBJ Medical Center in Faga’alu on Sunday morning, January 6, 2008 for observation and evaluation after experiencing discomfort from stomach pain.
The following is the initial statement from the Governor’s Chief of Staff Mr. Pati Faiai:
“On Sunday at 9am, January 6, 2008, Governor Togiola Tulafono was admitted to LBJ Medical Center in Faga’alu for observation and evaluation after experiencing discomfort from stomach pain.
I wish to say that Governor Togiola is doing well and is much more comfortable. The Governor’s condition is much improved since entering the hospital emergency room Sunday morning.
Governor Togiola has asked me to say to all of the people of American Samoa that he is doing fine and getting some rest. The Governor expresses his sincere gratitude to all the people that have visited or tried to visit him in the Hospital and he also says thank you to all for keeping him in your prayers.”
