Lt. Gov. Ipulasi travels to Honolulu, returns Thursday;
AG appointed Acting Governor
(UTULEI) – Lieutenant Governor Ipulasi Aitofele Sunia departed the Territory on Sunday night to visit Governor Togiola Tulafono and attend a retirement fund investors meeting in Honolulu. Lieutenant Governor Ipulasi has appointed Attorney General Fepulea’i Afa Ripley as Acting Governor.
In a General Memorandum issued today, Lieutenant Governor Ipulasi wrote:
“I hereby appoint Attorney General Fepulea’i Afa Ripley as Acting Governor. This appointment shall terminate upon my, or the Governor’s return to the Territory, whichever comes first. Please extend to Acting Governor Fepulea’i your fullest support and cooperation.”
Lieutenant Governor Ipulasi will return to American Samoa this Thursday night, February 21, 2008.
