Governor's Office Drug Control Purpose:

​

• Plan, coordinate, and implement all related drug control events and activities 

• Coordinate all partnering departments,and agencies, as well as faith community leaders, Office of Samoan Affairs, and the private sector all activities as outlined by the CSAC plan 

• Assist in collecting, and analyze and share results all data pertaining to the research of drug use in the Territory

 

GOALS: 

      To reduce illicit drug use, manufacturing,and trafficking; drug related crime and violence; and drug related health consequences

 

     

MISSION:

      To work in collaboration with Comprehensive Substance Abuse Council (CSAC) and all community stakeholders in coordinating programs, and developing policies that will reduce drug use, manufacturing, and trafficking drug related crimes and violence; and related health consequences.  A new approach to solving substance abuse problems will be achieved through an effort coordinating education, enforcement, and treatment.  

 

VISION: 

     That American Samoa becomes a drug free territory
